Christian Weatherspoon

Christian Weatherspoon (born in 1984) is an American singer-songwriter, indie films producer, actor, voice actor, and real estate investor, who has also specialized in Instructional Design & Video Production for a real estate education company called FortuneBuilders, Inc. With the addition of working on the educational side of real estate investing, Weatherspoon also runs his own investment business which he started in early 2014 called San Diego County HomeBuyers (SDCHB,LLC).

Weatherspoon was born in Northern California and adopted to a couple in the military who lived in San Diego. Much of Weatherspoon's early life was spent with between San Diego and Denver, Colorado. At age 12, Weatherspoon, along with older brother, moved to a year-round boarding school called Cal Farley's Boys Ranch; he remained there until he turned 18 and graduated from Boys Ranch High School.

After graduating from Boys Ranch High School in May of 2003, Weatherspoon was left his group home at Cal Farley's Boys Ranch at the age of 17. He had received several scholarships for Cross Country, Track & Field, Theater Arts, Speech & Debate and academic excellence to several universities across the state of Texas, most notably, Abilene Christian University and the University of Huston. But because Weatherspoon's only known family at the time had moved to San Diego, he turned down all of the his scholarships, except for one which he had received from Cal Farley's. After moving to San Diego, he attended Southwestern Community College from 2003 to 2007, changing his major from English Literature, to Music and finally settling on Communications, Media Specialization for Film.

Shortly after moving to Southern California, Weatherspoon began working for a local branch of Clear Channel Communications while attending college. During that time, his love for music developed into a passion to perform and he began performing at local venues as a solo act, Acoustic By Default. Soon after, in 2004, Weatherspoon began producing his own music, eventually connecting with a local musician who was, at the time, attending Full Sail University in Los Angeles, eventually becoming an intern at Warner Brother Studios. Weatherspoon was exposed to the video production world and began performing contract work in Southern California while continuing his solo music career, and eventually becoming a vocalist in a San Diego rock band. After losing ground on a potential record contract from Capitol Records, Weatherspoon switched his focus to audio and video production. In early 2009, growing dissension among band mates led Weatherspoon to find an ad on Craigslist posted by a local musician seeking to collaborate, who worked as a Video Production Specialist for a number of clients around Southern California, most notably, FortuneBuilders, Inc (a real estate education company). Weatherspoon's passion for creativity was further realized, and his knowledge base of the video production world was refined and developed. Weatherspoon's role within FortuneBuilders, Inc grew, and he began creating educational modules as an Instructional Designer. (continue reading...)
