The End of One Thing, Beginning of Another

This last December was a lot of things. My mother’s birthday, my birthday, Christmas with my extended family from New York, New Year’s Eve, and the end of something else.

It was great to see my cousins and my uncle, they met my friends, my girlfriend at the time, and my uncle and i went out and spent some time together. My younger cousin was enamored by my guitars and my keyboard, so I spent some time with him showing him a few things. My uncle bought my brother and I a Play Station 2 with a few games for us, but also bought a few games for my cousin, so between playing with the guitar and the piano I got a little unneeded game time on Sponge Bob Square Pants the video game.

My other cousin and i took a trip to Downtown San Diego and caught a ferry boat over to Coronado. It’s not the first time I’ve done it, but it was hers, and I think she had a great time! Unfortunately, I don’t have a vehicle of my own at the moment so I had to borrow my mother’s van.

Everything last December seemed to have been going well… And then I found out my relationship with my girlfriend wasn’t what I had thought. I love detailed stories, but some things are better left unsaid. History has repeated itself, but it’s a little harder to handle this time.

So with the new year here and breathe in my lungs, I’m staying positive, and looking forward at things to come. Because with the end of one thing comes the beginning of another.
